Redmi 10 Prime was launched in India on Friday as the new model of Xiaomi in the Redmi series. The new Redmi phone has come as a significant improvement over the Redmi 9 Prime launched in August last year. It features a hole-punch display design, an upgraded triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a MediaTek Helio G88 SOC. The Redmi 10 Prime comes with a 90Hz display and dual stereo speakers that offer an upgraded experience over last year's model. The new smartphone appears to be a slightly modified version of the Redmi 10 that Xiaomi launched globally last month.

In India, the Redmi 10 Prime is priced at Rs. 12,499 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage type. The phone also has 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option which is priced at Rs. 14,499. To give some perspective, Redmi 10 was launched globally with a starting price of जी 179 (approximately Rs. 13,100) for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage type. Xiaomi raised Rs. 9,999 for base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option.

The dual-SIM Redmi 10 Prime runs on MIUI 12.5 on Android 11 and offers a 6.5-inch full-HD + (1,080x2,400 pixels) display with 20: 9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display also has a 90 Hz adaptive refresh rate that matches the content frame to switch between 45Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates. Under the hood, the Redmi 10 Prime has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 SOC, ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. There is also support for RAM expansion up to 2GB which basically uses built-in storage to enhance multitasking.
For photos and videos, the Redmi 10 Prime comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter f / 2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The rear camera setup supports full-HD (1080p) video recording, 120 hps (720p) slow-motion support at 120 fps frame rate.
