PUBG NEW STATE: Closed Alpha Announcement 

Krafton has announced the closed alpha for PUBG: New State. According to the trailer that delivered the announcement, the closed alpha for PUBG: New State will only be available to US players, and it will only be available for Android. The trailer also announced that pre-registration for the iOS version of PUBG: New State will begin soon.  

PUBG: New State does not yet have an official release date yet, and Krafton most revealed is that the game is due for release "later in 2021." Considering how much Krafton is trying to keep Battlegrounds Mobile India away from PUBG Mobile, PUBG: New State will arrive in India at launch. Even a press release announcing the game said the global launch does not count China, Vietnam and India. Chances are that New State will see some heavy changes and rebranding before it is launched in India.   

Krafton intends to launch Battlegrounds Mobile India in the country. Although pre-registration for the game has been launched since yesterday, the release date of Battlegrounds Mobile India is still coming to an end, according to Krafton. "We are still in the final process of the launch date, we will update our fans on further developments," reads on the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India. 

While Battlegrounds Mobile India is available for pre-registration on Android, the iOS version is not yet available. Sources familiar with the company's plans have told ChromeGadgets  that the iOS release is important, as Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to have the majority of userbase on Android, with the iOS version tending to bring payment players .
