Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to share details during Activision's upcoming Call of Duty Next event, but the upcoming game's website is secretly revealing bits of information ahead of the big showcase.
Activision's new website for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile simply announces that you should tune into the Call of Duty Next event on September 15 to learn more about the upcoming mobile game, but clicking through the source code for the page actually reveals a bit more. Data describes Warzone Mobile as featuring authentic Call of Duty gameplay with a 120-player lobby and some form of shared progression. There's also a pre-registration deal for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile for a chance to unlock rewards at launch.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile also had its premiere trailer during the GameSpot Swipe Mobile Showcase 2022. While the teaser only had eight seconds of footage showing a plane flying through the clouds, longtime Warzone players may recognize the plane in the clip. A brief view of the plane resembles Warzone's original intro sequence for the Verdansk map during Modern Warfare's lifecycle.

What to expect during Call of Duty Next Event
Infinity Ward's event showcase will include a full multiplayer reveal for Modern Warfare 2, featuring content creators playing the game in real time. There will also be information on Warzone 2, as the sequel is set to drop later this year following the release of Modern Warfare 2. More details will be revealed on the upcoming mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone, a game formerly known as Project Aurora.
Activision also noted that Call of Duty Next will discuss "what the immediate future of Call of Duty will look like." This may include details on what to expect for Call of Duty over the next two years, as it was previously reported that the franchise will not release a new Call of Duty premium game until 2023.
