BGMI Banned Almost All Accounts

BGMI Developer Krafton Banned 66,233 Accounts For Cheating




Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) maker Krafton has permanently banned 66,233 accounts between March 28 and April 3, the company said in a blog post. The South Korean developer banned more than 22,000 accounts during the week of March 21-27.

"BGMI will strive to enforce strong restrictions with the ultimate goal of eliminating the use of illegal programs to provide you with an enjoyable gaming environment," Krafton said in a blog post. 

The game developer has published a list of all banned accounts. Krafton banned accounts to protect the gaming environment from any illegal activities. Of all the reasons for banning an account, unauthorized use of third-party applications to gain an unfair advantage in the game is one of the primary reasons. 


On Krafton's official website, the company also lists other reasons for account bans – use of any cheating tools in the game, making any illegal changes to the client file data, using an unauthorized game client to play the game, and cheating. Players in the game or promoting illegal information or websites, using any unauthorized payment channel to recharge UC, teaming up with players from other teams.

Additionally, the game developer has asked users to download BGMI from the official store to play the game. It also mentions that unofficial or cracked game clients are not supported and may lead to account bans.

“If your account violates the rules after being hacked and affects the rights of the game or other players, a penalty will be applied to your account regardless of who is using it. We strongly suggest that you do not share your account with other players to avoid the risk of ban,” it added.

In July 2021, the South Korean video game developer launched Battlegrounds Mobile India after it went live for pre-registration on Google Play on 18 May 2021. The banning of the original PUBG mobile title sent a wave of joy among Indian gamers. India in September 2020.

Due to the increasing penetration of smartphones, mobile gaming is growing rapidly in India, boosting the Indian gaming industry. Recently, gaming startup Games24x7 became India's 99th unicorn to raise $75 Mn in funding led by Malabar India Fund at a valuation of $2.5 billion, Inc42 reported. Several other gaming startups of various scales like Loco, OWN, and Oneiric Gaming have also raised funds in the past few months.
