Hyper Front Valorant Mobile Like Game Has Officially Launched

Hyper Fornt Has Officially Launched For Mobile Devices!

Hyper Front Release Date in India

Hyper Front, an FPS title for the mobile gaming audience, has entered the Google Play Store on January 20, 2022 for players in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

Initially titled Project M, the game began its beta testing in August 2021. However, soon after its official release, Hyper Front drew criticism for its similarities to Riot Games' popular tactical shooter, Valorant.

NetEase Games, a Chinese game development company, is credited with the game's formulation. Hyper Front is described by the developers as a free-to-play 5v5 hero-based FPS game and features 23 different weapons that players can use to engage in tactical combat.

How Hyper Front is Similer To Valorant Mobile?

With an early 2022 release, Hyper Front is available in select countries for mobile gamers in South Asia. They aim to entice the mobile gaming community that has been yearning for a team-based FPS title like Valorant.

While witnessing similar success in the esports scene, Riot Games has managed to turn Valorant into one of the most popular online multiplayer games in the world. However, the game has yet to catch on with the mobile audience with its immersive gameplay. Although Valorant Mobile is in the works from 2021, Riot is yet to provide more details about its release.

The online gaming community has been active in pointing out various similarities between the two FPS titles in terms of gameplay and mechanics. While both games are 5v5 first-person shooters, Hyper Front requires teams to claim 14 rounds to victory, as opposed to Valorant's 13 rounds.

Also, Hyper Front has 23 different guns as opposed to Valorant's 17. However, the Phantom, Vandal, Operator, Ghost, Classic and many other weapons are similar in NetEase's 5v5 shooter. The game also features characters with abilities similar to some Valorant agents, notably Rena's Lear, Sage's Resurrection, and Brimstone's Sky Smokes.

Unlike Epic Games, PUBG Corp. filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against NetEase Games and took it to court. According to earlier reports, NetEase Games tried to attract the audience of PUBG before the release of PUBG Mobile by releasing 2 mobile games with striking similarities in visuals, audio and gameplay. Although NetEase filed a counter-suit, the case was eventually resolved with a settlement under terms that were not disclosed to the public.

Valorant Mobile has been confirmed to be operational since June 2021, when Dangal celebrates Valorant's first year. Although the release date for the game has not been announced yet, players can expect it to be released soon. Earlier in October 2021, Riot Games posted a job listing for a senior game designer, hinting that a mobile variant was in development.

However, to conquer the mobile gaming market for FPS titles, Riot will have to compete with NetEase. Given NetEase's history with Riot's parent company Tencent, Riot has an opportunity to sue the company for copyright infringement. However, since the release of Valorant Mobile is unknown, we can only speculate on Riot's next steps.
