Activision Is Bringing Call Of Duty Warzone Mobile
Call of Duty: Warzone, the battle royale game that was released as a standalone free-to-play title in March, will be coming to mobile devices, Activision announced on its blog.
The mobile version of the game will be available for iOS and Android devices and will allow crossplay with the console and PC versions of the game. Players can pre-register for the game now at the Call of Duty website.
The company announced its plans to release Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on iOS and Android devices sometime "in the coming months." It also said that it is going to bring Call of Duty: Mobile's Battle Royale mode to consoles, but there's no word on when that's going to happen.
Call of Duty: Mobile has been a massive hit for Activision. Its Battle Royale mode has 100 players duking it out in a single match, with a map that's 1.5 times bigger than the one in CoD: Warzone. The game has also earned over $500 million since it launched last year, and it has over 250 million downloads on Google Play Store alone.
However, Activision is yet to say how warzone mobile is going to differ from its console and PC counterpart. The company didn't give any other details either, such as whether the mobile version will support crossplay with the other versions or if they'll have their own separate player base.
Gamers on Android and iOS already have access to Call of Duty: Mobile, which was released on mobile phones in October 2019. CoD publisher Activision has revealed that it is considering hiring entire development and publishing teams to bring Call of Duty: Warzone to smartphones. Gamers Call of Duty: The publisher has not yet announced when to expect to see the mobile version of Warzone or which platform will be the first to be supported.
Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Release Date
Activision has revealed in a blog post its plans to bring Call of Duty: Warzone to smartphones, as it seeks to port AAA titles on a larger mobile screen. Call of Duty: Warzone Native will be created for mobile, and will be a live service game as the main free-to-play title for PC and console. Activision has not revealed whether gamers on the upcoming mobile version will be able to play with gamers on other platforms.
Call of Duty: To port Warzone to smartphones, Activision says it is working in development and publishing teams, including manufacturing, engineering, design, art and marketing. The company employs a number of indoor studios, including Solid State Studios, Benox, Digital Legends and Demonware. Activision is still facing a U.S. investigation into allegations of discrimination and harassment during a workers' strike last year - an investigation recently stepped up.
Call of Duty: No word on when Warzone will reach smartphones, but journalist Tom Henderson had previously tweeted that the game had been added to the PlaytestCloud database. However, this is not an indication that the game is interesting play testing - development on the port is yet to begin.

Activision didn't started any Pre-registration for the game but Tap-Tap Game store has started the Pre-registration for Call of duty Mobile Warzone.
