PUBG Mobile India Aka Battleground Mobile India crossed 20 Million Pre-Registrations, No Release Date Yet


Battlegrounds Mobile India, the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, has crossed 20 million pre-registrations in the country in just two weeks. The PUBG Mobile India Aka Battleground Mobile India went on pre-registration for Android users on May 18 after an announcement early last month. Battlegrounds Mobile India is an Indian incarnation of PUBG Mobile, which was banned in the country along with 11 other apps in September last year. The game is the same as PUBG Mobile but is drawing some tweaks for the Indian audience. 

South Korean developer Krafton has announced in a press release that Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed two million pre-registrations in India. The game was announced in the first week of May, and then on May 18, pre-registration for Android users began via the Google Play Store. On the first day of pre-ragistration the developer says game received 7.6 million pre-registrations. In just two weeks, Battlegrounds Mobile India has now grossed over Rs 12.4 million 

Pre-registrations provide India-specific prizes that can be claimed once the game is officially launched. These include Recon outfits, Recon masks, in-game currency, and more. Those who have pre-registered for Battlegrounds Mobile India will automatically download the game when it starts if the feature is turned on in Google Play.

PUBG Mobile India Pre-Registration 

Fans waiting for the release date will have to wait as the developer has yet to share. The release also said that the release date of Battlegrounds Mobile India will be shared at a later date. The game is expected to be played in the country on June 18. 

PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September 2020 due to its association with Chinese company Tencent. After the ban, ownership of the game passed to Crafton, who was trying to relaunch the country. Several months later it became capable as Battlegrounds Mobile India
